This paper looks at a unique inter-disciplinary master’s in creativity and innovation and explores whether design is a sufficient metaphor for enduring success, or whether a systems approach might be more sustainable. The Roman God Janus (represented with two faces looking in opposite directions at the same time) is used to symbolise creative change, which often involves holding more than one viewpoint in mind at a time.
